Homoeopathic Pharmacy

The students are exposed to different methods of preparing homoeopathic medicines and the method of their standardization as per the CCH syllabus. Apart from theoretical and practical training in the subject of Homoeopathic Pharmacy periodical assessment tests and tutorials are conducted to equip the students for their 1st BHMS examination under the Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences.

The well-equipped laboratory can accommodate 25 students at a time to cater the need of increased number of students at UG level. The laboratory is well equipped with modern pharmaceutical appliances apart from common instruments.

The laboratory also contains herbarium sheets in wooden frame herb specimen (dry),herb specimens (preserved in FAA solution), mineral specimens ,animal specimens and botanical slides.

Department is having nos. of charts on Pharmacy & also enough chemicals for conducting practical classes. Departmental Library has books in the subjects like BHP, USHP, and HPI along with other reference books on medicinal plants.

The department takes every batch to educational tours and lab visits in various corners of the country.

Homoeopathic pharmacy bridges homoeopathic therapeutics with clinical practice. It puts forward the guidelines and methodologies for Preparation, Preservation and Dispensing of medicines which includes processes like Dynamization and Potentization, very exclusive to Homoeopathy, all according to the norms of HPI (Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia of India).

The two streamline subjects ORGANON OF MEDICINE where Father Samuel Hahnemann has laid down the Principles of Homoeopathy and MATERIA MEDICA which is the drug book of Homoeopathy are coupled by Homoeopathic Pharmacy
